About

Katie graduated from Manchester Metropolitan with a BA HONs in Design and Art Direction after doing an Art and Design foundation course. She has lived in Bristol for 16 years and is passionate about working with children with special needs and often combines this with her art. After being a family photographer for 5 years and raising her son, she dived back into her love for painting - (acrylics and oils) mostly with her hands and palette knives enjoying the texture and freedom it gave often resulting in abstract works.

Katie’s love for nature, (having grown up in the countryside and many trips to Pembrokeshire) can be seen ranging from ocean landscapes to animals, using her fingers to paint fur, feathers and hair. She has painted at festivals and does set commission pieces mostly capturing a person’s favourite place. 

She went to Wells Cathedral school, a large part of her journey inspiring her other love; music, songwriting on the side, she’s excited to combine her two passions.
