“From the music, I felt a sense of chaos and the steady ticking midway through the piece gave me an urgency of passing time. Its intensity is illustrated by the vibrant colours, with the texture created by rubbing and applying dried flowers as well as dried soil. Towards the end, I could see the ocean; expanding and contracting, sea spray - the sense something is evolving underneath the surface.”

Charlie works with mixed mediums, drawing inspiration from nature and personal experiences. Born in Hong Kong, Charlie has studied in the UK for nearly six years. Initially learning photo-realism, her style evolved through exploring abstraction and expressionism, resulting in a unique blend that incorporates dried natural objects, like flowers.
